Introducing the fam

Well if you are reading this you probably already know our family, but in the off chance you don't here is a brief intro:

Liam-Our sweet baby boy who just turned 2! (The pic is about a year old) He is totally obsessed with Toy Story, one day he watched it three times in a row. (doesn't say much about our parental controls now does it?) It is pure entertainment listening to Li-monkey discover words. My recent favorites are: "love you too mommy", "broder" (brother) "get kids mom" "Worwee" (sorry) among many others. Li is a little climber. One day I found him in my closet on the top shelf looking for candy, which is one of his great loves in life. As he is our last, I really try to hold on to every little stage he is in.

Lex -Is 5 1/2 and our little drama queen. (Dad's words) I love to see his little imagination at work. He can play with his bat cave for hours at a time. He can totally clean his room when he really wants to. Lex is in kindergarten this year and really doing well. I am so proud of what he has accomplished with reading, math and writing. He has also enjoyed playing basketball and soccer this year. Lex is the best big brother to Liam. The other day he said to me "I just love Liam with all of my heart."

Maya:My tiny little blue-eyed girl is finally growing into her big attitude! Maya was baptized in December, I can't believe how much she is growing up. She is a mommy's girl for sure! She always follows me around the house and especially likes to sit on my bathroom counter as I am getting ready. She is like my little compliment-giver. If I am ever feeling bad about myself or the day she will say, "mommy you look so pretty," or the "the house looks so nice." or "I love you so much , mommy. You are the best mommy ever." It's like she just knows what I need to hear. Maya has really excelled in piano this year and made huge improvements in her tumbling class.

Ellie-My little ray of sunshine. She can light up a room I tell you! Ellie is so caring, loving and giving. She has always been really great at recognizing others that need a friend or if something needs to be done. Sometimes I feel like I put so much responsibility on her because she is the oldest. She watches her siblings, helps around the house and his basically my third arm. I don't know what I would do without her. Ellie enjoys playing the piano, acting, singing, reading and learning about science and history. The girls have been learning to ski this winter as well, which has been a dream for us to see them do! I am so glad to see how much they love it!

Ryan-You always know when "daddy comes home" by sounds that resemble a herd of elephants and then screaming. Ryan works long hours, but when he is home he is a jungle gym, comedian, crepe maker, teaser, tech support, homework-helper and a wonderful sweet husband. In the summer Ryan does tons of mountain-biking as well as golfing. Winter-well he has been in the gym quite a bit thanks to my Christmas gift.

Mary-Every year gets more busy for me as everyone else gets busier. I basically try to keep my head above water most days. I enjoy being a student and am extremely grateful for the support of my friends and family, without them it would not have been possible for me to go back to school. I love hanging out with my family I also look forward to hanging out with my girlfriends on occasion. Traveling is another great love of mine, we are working towards taking the family to Hawaii this year.

The Ryan Ewer Family

Well I set up this little blog forever ago, and over the last few days I have really wanted to get it going. As a communication major with hopes of becoming a journalist someday I figured I should start writing on a more regular basis. I also feel like so much of our incredible adventures as a family is being undocumented so blogging is a simplified way to chronicle our lives. Who knows if anyone will ever read it, but I sure hope so!
